Mock Inspections

Find out what CQC or the Care Inspectorate would find - before they do.

A forensic, two-day, on-site assessment of your service

Carried out by a team with direct, senior-level regulatory and inspection experience.

You get an honest picture of where you stand, in writing, with a clear plan to close the gaps.

Who is this for

You already suspect something isn't right - a difficult inspection last time, a change in leadership, a complaint that's shaken confidence, or simply a feeling that you don't actually know what an inspector would find if they walked in tomorrow.

This is built for that moment. Not routine reassurance - a genuine, unflinching diagnostic.

If CQC or CI walked in that same day, this is the rating you'd get.

What we assess against

In England, we assess your service against CQC's five key questions: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led - the same structure CQC inspectors use.

In Scotland, we assess against the Key Quality Indicators and Core Assurances, covering: Leadership, Staffing, Setting, Wellbeing and Care Planning - graded the same way an inspector would grade it.

What Happens

1. Clarity call

We talk through what's prompting this, and agree the right scope.

2. Two-day on-site diagnostic

Former inspectors & selected senior social care operators examine records, observe practice, and speak to staff and, where appropriate, residents/service users - exactly as a real inspection would.

3. Forensic written report

Clear findings against the relevant framework, with nothing softened and nothing exaggerated.

4. Action plan, in order of priority

What to fix first, what can wait, and what "good" actually looks like for each point raised.

5. Ongoing support, if you want it

Some clients stop here, report in hand, and attempt fixing things themselves. Others move into ongoing oversight or QA Review. Both are fine - there's no obligation either way.

What our clients say

"If you've got a wildfire and you're in it, she's like the fire crew on the helicopter at the top. She's able to see it and then she's like, that is the biggest fire, let's get that done first."
